Nitrate Ion Removal Process for Waste Water
The Nitrate nitrogen concentration in waste water has been regulated less than 100 mg/L except for some types of industries as of July 2007.
JGC has established that the concentration of nitrogen nitrate in waste water can be decreased to less than regulation value by newly developed catalyst.

      Features

  • Applicable to drainage containing nitrate nitrogen in a range
    to around ten thousand mg/L
  • Effective operation under ordinary pressure, below 100 °C by catalysis
  • Compact device constitution

Applications

  • Industrial drainage containing a nitric acid ion
  • Nitrate solution generated from nuclear spent fuel reprocessing plants

Development status

  • In the development stage for practical application
