It is well known that a conventional cryogenic pipe support (such as those used in LNG plants, etc.), requires strong supportive metal fittings around it to hold the highly durable multilayer HDPUF (high-density polyurethane foam) heat insulation material.

JC-FAST^®, JGC's new cryogenic pipe support, uses a metal structure, just like conventional piping supports, but also uses FRP in some sections of the support framework, thereby achieving outstanding low-temperature strength and heat insulating properties. Easily manufactured in a field shop from commonly used bulk materials, this support is designed to be internally filled with urethane foam at the construction site.
